When Purpose & Hustle Meet at Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff

Our speaker will be sharing thoughts this month from a book called Purposeful Hustle - the idea that real impact happens when purpose meets action, and that idea fits perfectly with the work we do at the Boys & Girls Club.

At the Club, our purpose is clear: helping young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. It’s about believing in kids, creating safe spaces, and giving them the opportunities they need to succeed.

The hustle is the work that makes that purpose real every day. It’s the staff showing up after school ready to mentor kids, the volunteers helping with homework, the team serving meals, building relationships, running programs, and creating moments that help kids feel seen and supported.

The message from Purposeful Hustle reminds us that purpose without action doesn’t change lives, and hard work without remembering the purpose behind it can lead to burnout.

At the Boys & Girls Club, our impact happens when we keep both in balance—when we remember why we do this work and continue to put in the effort every day to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve.

That’s when purpose and hustle come together to create real change for kids and families in our community.
